Condenser Assembly Removal and Installation

A/C System Major Component Location:Manual A/C

Condenser Assembly On-Vehicle Inspection:Manual A/C

NOTE:

Condenser fins can easily be bent during removal of the condenser assembly.

Remove the condenser assembly carefully so as not to damage the condenser fins. If any of them is bent, straighten it using a flat head screwdriver or a pair of pliers.

Removal

1) Recover refrigerant from A/C system referring to Service and Repair Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charge:Manual A/C.

NOTE:
The amount of removed compressor oil must be measured for replenishing compressor oil.

2) Remove front bumper referring to [1][2]Diagrams Front Bumper and Rear Bumper Components.
3) Disconnect discharge hose (1) and liquid pipe (2) from condenser assembly (3).
4) Remove radiator assembly and condenser assembly mounting bolts (4).






5) Move condenser assembly from the vehicle in the arrow direction in the order of 1, 2 and 3 as shown, and it can be removed.






Installation

Condenser Assembly On-Vehicle Inspection:Manual A/C

Reverse the removal procedure to install condenser noting the following instructions.

- Replenish specified amount of compressor oil to compressor suction side referring to "Replenishing Compressor Oil" in Service and Repair Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charge:Manual A/C.
- Evacuate and charge the A/C system referring to "Evacuation" and "Charge" in Service and Repair Operation Procedure for Refrigerant Charge:Manual A/C.
