1991 PIO/DIO AUDIO 11201/74100 CUTS OUT DURING CASSETTE MODE





Sound intermittently "cuts out" during cassette mode on 1991 vehicles equipped with 11201 PIO/DIO 2 speaker ETR radio and 74100 PIO/DIO cassette player combination. This condition occurs most frequently in cold and dry climates.

SERVICE PROCEDURE:

Exchange the 11201 2 speaker ETR through Fujitsu Ten's warranty exchange program. All exchange radios have been countermeasured effective 11/06/91. Countermeasured 11201 radios will have a "black" mark on the volume shaft (remove the volume knob to verify marking).

NOTICE.

Countermeasure is effective only when sound intermittently "cuts out" during cassette mode with the 11201/74100 combination. If the cassette player has no sound, check the "D/P" switch to make sure it is set in the "P" position.
