TITLE: 4 RUNNER RUNNING BOARD PUSH NUTS
Running board kits beginning with Lot # G230, production date 7-30-90, will have a pressure sensitive label attached to both ends on the face of the board. The purpose of the label is to remind technicians to properly install the push-nuts on the back side of the flare end cap. This will prevent the flare end cap from loosening and/or falling off when the vehicle is washed or driven.
Figure 1:
PUSH NUT INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
A push-nut must be placed over one of the posts on the snap-in clip located on the backside of the flare. While applying pressure to the outside of the flare, locate the clip and position a push-nut with the teeth facing away from the backside of the running board. Press the push-nut into position using a 13 mm socket. (SEE FIGURE 1 BELOW)
Peel off and remove the push-nut installation stickers after installing all of the push nuts.
