1. Remove battery ground cable.
2. Remove steering wheel and column covers.
3. Remove engine hood release.
4. Remove cowl side trim and the key cylinder cover.
5. Remove lower finish No. 1 panel, then the No. 1 heater duct, Fig. 7.
6. Remove heater control plate.
7. On all models except 4 speed, remove the cluster finish panel retaining screws, then disconnect the electrical connectors, then the finish panel.
8. On 4 speed models, remove the cluster finish panel with meter hood, retaining screws, disconnect the electrical connectors, then the cluster finish panel.
9. On all models, remove instrument panel No. 1 register.
10. Remove the combination meter retaining screws, disconnect the electrical connectors and speedometer cable, then the combination meter.
11. Remove lower finish No. 2 panel and glove compartment door.
12. Remove lower center finish panel, heater control and the radio.
13. Remove instrument panel retaining bolts, then the instrument panel.
14. Reverse procedure to install.
