SUBJECT: AIR CONDITIONING WARRANTY CLAIMS
In response to dealer questions regarding air conditioning warranty claims, TMS Warranty would like to reiterate requirements for air conditioning claims.
Condition/Cause/Remedy text is required on all air conditioning warranty claims and must provide a specific description of the condition and the part defect. To expedite claim payment, use of vague terms such as "bad", "doesn't work", "failed", "inoperative", "ineffective", and "faulty" must be avoided.
Compressor Serial Number must be provided on all air conditioning claims where the compressor was removed. For original equipment (OEM) claims, the serial number should be keyed in the serial number field. For service part claims, the serial number should be entered in the Condition/Cause/Remedy text. Failure to provide a serial number will delay processing of your warranty claim. If the serial number is not obtainable, an explanation must be given in the CCR text.
T1 Code must be 99. T2 Code must be precise and describe the cause of the defect.
