Fig. 22 Testing AS Reed Valve:

1. Apply 15 in.Hg vacuum to the valve diaphragm with a hand-held vacuum pump. Fig. 22
2. Ensure air flows through valve.
3. Release vacuum from the valve diaphragm.
4. Check that air does NOT flow through reed valve.
5. If a problem is found, replace the reed valve assembly.
