Fuel Pressure Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection
1. Connect the VSV terminals to the battery terminals as illustrated.
Checking VSV - Current Applied:
2. Blow into pipe E and check that air comes out of pipe G.
3. Disconnect the battery and blow into pipe E, check that air comes out of pipe F.
Checking VSV - Current Removed:
4. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between the terminal and the VSV body.
Checking VSV For Short Circuit:
5. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals as illustrated.
Checking The VSV For An Open Circuit:
Resistance Cold: 30 - 50 ohms
6. If a problem is found, replace the VSV.
