FRONT BRAKES - 4RUNNER

Certain driving conditions can cause rotor thickness variation on the front brake rotors. As stated in the Brake TSB BR94-002, rotor thickness variation can cause brake vibration/pulsation. A new brake pad material has been developed for 4Runners to minimize the effect of front brake rotor thickness variation. To address customer complaints regarding alleged front brake vibration/pulsation on 4Runners, please utilize the following procedures:

1) Test drive vehicle to confirm if vehicle has front brake vibration/pulsation.
- If there is excessive thickness variation on the front rotors, TMC strongly recommends using an on-car brake lathe to turn the rotors (refer to Brake TSB BR94-002).

2) After turning/replacing rotor, replace pad kit with new part number listed.
