Correcting Warranty Claims: Overview
General Information
Claims which have errors will be listed on a Daily Warranty Claim Error Report, one of the five types of daily warranty claim reports.
You must submit corrected claims to Toyota within 30 days of their return (the date of the Daily Warranty Claim Error Report).
The methods used to correct claims are:
Single Field Change
Old/New Change
Multiple Field Change
These methods are explained in detail in the Warranty Claims Corrections video.
Regardless of the method used, every claim correction requires the following basic steps:
1. Analyze the Daily Warranty Claim Error Report to see what needs to be corrected.
2. Check other information sources such as the repair order associated with the claim or the Warranty Reference Manual.
3. Correct the claim using your computer.
4. Transmit the corrected claim to Toyota via the
TDN system.
