Toyota A-340H-Slip/Chatter On Acceleration
Vehicles equipped with an A-340H (4x4) transmission may exhibit a slip or chatter on acceleration only when the transfer case is in either the 2 high or 4 high positions.
The cause may be a leaking or damaged direct clutch in the transfer case.
Inspect the clutch drum for ring grooves, cracks, etc. Also, look for damaged rings on the support.
