1. Disconnect the hose from the TVSV M port and plug the port, Fig.71. This will disable the choke opener and EGR system.
2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the TP diaphragm and plug the hose, Fig. 75.
3. Check that the TP is set against the throttle lever and start the engine.
4. Settings should be as follows:
a. 3A-C engine 1,400 RPM
b. 3A engine 1,400 RPM A/T
c. 3A engine 1,700 RPM M/T
