Installation

PROCEDURE

1. Reinstall Knock Sensors and connect the Knock Sensor connectors.

Torque: 39 Nm (29 ft lb)

2. Reinstall water outlet and right hand engine mounting stay.
^ Install 2 new gaskets on the cylinder head.





^ Install the water outlet with the the 2 bolts, 2 plate washers and 2 nuts.

Torque: 15 Nm (11 ft lb)

NOTE: Do not scratch the seal surface of the water outlet with the stud bolt.

^ Connect the water bypass hose to the inlet housing.
^ Install the wire band.





^ Install the right hand mounting stay with the 3 bolts.

Torque: 31.4 Nm (23 ft lb)





^ Connect the following hoses and connectors:

- Radiator inlet hose. (1)
- Engine coolant reservoir hose. (2)
- Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor connector. (3)
- Engine Coolant Temperature Switch connector. (4)
- Ground strap connector. (5)

3. Reinstall Intake Manifold Assembly.





^ Install the Intake Manifold assembly with the 9 bolts, 2 plate washers and 2 nuts.

Torque: 15 Nm (11 ft lb)

^ Connect the heater hose to the Intake Manifold.





4. Reconnect Injector connectors.





5. Retighten water outlet mounting bolts and nuts.

Torque: 15 Nm (11 ft lb)

6. Reinstall Air Intake Chamber assembly.
