A540E & A540H

1. With vehicle properly raised and supported, label and disconnect electrical connectors from transaxle oil pan.
2. Remove oil pan and gasket.
3. Remove tube bracket and oil strainer.
4. Remove oil tubes.
5. Disconnect solenoid electrical connectors.
6. Remove manual valve body.
7. Remove connector clamp and tube retainer.
8. Remove S3 apply tube.
9. Remove ten valve body attaching bolts, then the valve body.
10. Reverse procedure to install. Note the following:
a. Hand tighten and then tighten valve body bolts to specifications.
b. Align manual valve body with pin on the manual shaft lever.
c. Hand tighten manual valve body bolts, then tighten to specifications.
