Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Service and Repair

Brake Actuator:







4-WD

REMOVAL

1. Remove actuator cover.
2. Using a flair nut wrench remove the brake lines connected to the actuator.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector to the actuator.
4. Remove the bolts holding the actuator in and remove actuator.


INSTALLATION

1. Install the bolts holding the actuator in.
2. Connect the electrical connector.
3. Connect the brake lines to the actuator. See SPECIFICATIONS.
4. Install actuator cover.
5. Fill brake reservoir with brake fluid and bleed brakes.
6. Check actuator operation.


Brake Actuator:







REMOVAL

1. Remove actuator cover.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector to the actuator.
4. Remove the bolts holding the actuator in and remove actuator.


INSTALLATION

1. Install the bolts holding the actuator in.
2. Connect the electrical connector.
3. Connect the brake lines to the actuator. See SPECIFICATIONS.
4. Install actuator cover.
5. Fill brake reservoir with brake fluid and bleed brakes.
6. Check actuator operation. See DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING PROCEDURES.
