Reading Diagnostic Codes:
No Malfunction Codes:
1. Turn ignition on.
2. Disconnect the service connector.
3. Using a jumper wire, connect terminals Tc and E1 of the check connector
4. Watch the blinking "ANTILOCK" light and read the number of blinks. The first number of blinks will equal the first digit of a two digit diagnostic code. After a 1.5 second pause, the 2nd number of blinks will equal the second number of a two digit code. If there are two or more codes, there will be a 4.5 second pause between each, and codes will begin from the small values and continue to the larger. A complete list of diagnostic codes can be found in DIAGNOSTIC CODES.
5. If there is no malfunction (operating normally), the warning light will blink once every 0.5 seconds.
6. After the bad components has been repaired or replaced, clear the diagnostic codes. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC CODES
NOTE: If the battery is disconnected while doing repairs, all diagnostic codes will be erased from the computer.
7. Remove jumper from check connector.
8. Connect the service connector.
9. Turn the ignition switch on, and check that the "ANTILOCK" warning light goes off after the warning light goes on for 3 seconds.
