Fig. 15 Oil Pump Rotor Body Clearance Inspection.:

1. Using a suitable feeler gauge, measure clearance between driven rotor and pump case, Figs. 22 and 23.
2. Clearance should be .0039-.0067 inch. If feeler gauge clearance obtained exceeds specified limits, replace oil pump rotor set and/or pump case.
3. Using a feeler gauge, measure clearance between both rotor tips. Clearance should be .0016-.0063 inch. If feeler gauge clearance obtained exceeds specified limit, replace oil pump rotor set.
