Oil Pump Replace

1. Disable airbag system, refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ARMING & DISARMING.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Remove engine undercovers, then drain engine oil.
4. Disconnect exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold or turbocharger assembly, if equipped.
5. Remove suspension lower crossmember, then the engine mount center member.
6. Remove stiffener plate, then the oil dipstick.
7. Remove oil pan attaching bolts, then the oil pan. Use caution not to damage oil pan flange.
8. Remove 2 attaching bolts, nuts, oil pan baffle plate, then the oil strainer with gasket.
9. Attach a suitable hoist to engine, then lift and suspend engine with hoist.
10. Remove timing belt and pulleys. Refer to TIMING BELT.
11. Remove oil pump attaching bolts, then the oil pump.
12. Reverse procedure to install, using new gaskets and O-ring seals as applicable. Rearm airbag system, refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ARMING & DISARMING.
