EGR Control Solenoid: Description and Operation
EGR Vacuum Switching Valve (VSV):
The EGR VSV that provides vacuum control to the EGR vacuum modulator, (and ultimately to the EGR valve), is activated by the ECU. The ECU serves as a ground circuit for the EGR VSV when the coolant temperature reaches a certain level and the engine is operating. The EGR VSV inputs the ECU through terminal EGR.
