Wastegate Actuator

REMOVAL:

1. Remove the turbocharger from the engine. Refer to TURBOCHARGER for complete procedure.

Improper Handling Of The Turbocharger:







CAUTION: DO NOT transport the turbocharger assembly by carrying it by the Wastegate Actuator rod. The rod can bend, causing the actuator to become unserviceable.

2. Disconnect the pressure hose from the Wastegate Actuator.
3. Remove clevis pin from Wastegate Valve end of actuator rod.
4. Remove actuator bracket mounting bolts.
5. Remove Wastegate Actuator with rod from the turbocharger.

INSTALLATION:

1. Install the Wastegate Actuator with bracket using the two mounting bolts.
2. Attach the actuator rod to the Wastegate Valve utilizing the clevis pin. Check that the rod has not been bent or deformed.
3. Connect the pressure hose to the Wastegate Actuator.
4. Reinstall the turbocharger on the engine. Refer to TURBOCHARGER for complete procedure.
