Axle Shaft, Bearing & Oil Seal (AWD)

W/ALL WHEEL DRIVE
1. Remove axle shaft from axle hub.
2. Remove bearing inner race (outer) from axle shaft, Fig. 1.
3. Remove dust cover, then the inner and outer oil seals.
4. Remove hole snap ring.
5. Remove bearing.
6. Install bearing.
7. Install hole snap ring and outer seal.
8. Install dust cover, axle shaft and inner oil seal.
9. Install axle carrier with axle hub. Install carrier with axle hub. Place rear axle carrier to the shock absorber lower bracket. Install the two attaching bolts and nuts. Tighten nuts to specifications.
10. Temporarily install the No. 2 suspension arm to the axle carrier and the No. 1 suspension arm to the axle carrier.
11. Temporarily install the strut rod to the axle carrier.
12. Install parking brake cable, parking brake assembly and rotor disc. Install brake caliper and torque attaching bolts to specifications.
13. Install plate washer, bearing locknut, bearing locknut cap and a new cotter pin. Tighten attaching nut to specification.
14. Tighten strut rod to axle carrier mount bolts and suspension arm to axle carrier attaching bolts to specifications.
