Water Pump: Tools and Equipment

RECOMMENDED TOOLS
- Drip pan - For draining coolant.
- Gasket scraper.
- Torque Wrenches:
- Low Range (0-200 in-lb).
- High Range (0-100 ft-lb).
- Full set of Metric sockets and wrenches.

Timing Belt Removal Is Required



- Floor jack (for supporting the engine while removing the front engine mount).
- Timing light (for measuring timing before and after).
- Vacuum gauge (for measuring engine vacuum levels before and after).



- Crankshaft Holding Tools (SST 09213-54015 (09214-00030) and 09330-00021) for removing crankshaft pulley bolt.



- Crankshaft pulley removal tool (SST 09213-60017).



- Camshaft Holding Tools (SST 09249-63010 and 09278-54012), for removing camshaft.

NOTE: Camshaft pulley removal is necessary to check oil seal for leakage.

- Spark plug socket (spark plug removal is recommended).
- Full set of Metric sockets and wrenches.



- Fender covers.



OPTIONAL



- Radiator hose removal tool.



- Cooling system pressure tester.
