Fuel Pressure Pulsation Damper: Service and Repair

REMOVAL:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Using a wrench, slowly loosen the Fuel Pulsation Damper from the fuel rail.

Loosening The Fuel Pulsation Damper:

3. If the fuel system is still under pressure, take care to prevent personal injury from spraying fuel.
4. Remove the Fuel Pusation Damper along with the two mounting gaskets.

INSTALLATION:

1. Install the Fuel Pressure Pulsation Damper with new gaskets.

Installing The Fuel Pulsation Damper:

2. Torque the Fuel Pressure Pulsation Damper to 25 ft.lbs. (34 N-m).
3. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Start engine and check for fuel leaks.
