Installation Procedure

1) Record station presets and security code on acoustic flavor radios were applicable.

2) Using a 10 mm socket, remove the negative cable-end from the battery.



3) Remove the left side step and side kick panel cover assemblies.



4) Locate and disconnect the TVSS sub-wire harness 20P power door lock male and female connectors at R/B No.2 and connector IC1 (20P).



5) Prepare both male and female 20P connectors for insertion of the light green wire. Use a small flat head screwdriver to disengage the secondary locking tab. The secondary locking tab must be disengaged before the wire can be inserted.



6) Insert the additional light green wire supplied in the repair kit in the 20P connector as shown in the illustration.

- Male terminal end to male connector.
- Female terminal end to female connector.

NOTE: This is the # 14 pin location on both connectors, and is next to the Red/Blue wire.



7) Press the secondary locking tab down on the sub-harness power door lock 20P connectors as shown.

NOTE: Push down on the locking tabs until a "click" is heard.



8) Reinsert the sub-harness fitting kit 20P power door lock circuit harness into the power door lock circuit connector on R/B No. 2 and connector IC1 (20P).


9) Reinstall the kick panel and side step cover assemblies.

10) Reconnect the battery.

11) Verify proper operation of the passenger side door lock when using the key in the driver's side door lock.

12) Reset Radio presets and security code if equipped with acoustic flavor radio.
