Disassembly and Reassembly

COOLING UNIT DISASSEMBLY

Cooling Unit:

1. Remove These Parts:
a. Wire harness
b. Blower resistor
c. Drain hose

2. Separate Upper And Lower Unit Cases
a. Using a knife, cut off each packing.
b. Remove the 4 screws, 3 clips and separate the upper and lower unit case.

3. Remove Evaporator From Lower Unit Case


ASSEMBLY HINT: If evaporator was replaced, add compressor oil to compressor.

Add 40 cc (1.4 fl.oz.) of an appropriate compressor oil.

4. Remove Thermistor From Evaporator


5. Remove Expansion Valve
Using a hexagon wrench, remove the 2 bolts and separate the expansion valve and evaporator.

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

ASSEMBLY HINT: Lubricate 4 new O-rings with compressor oil and install the tubes.

Assembly is in the reverse order of disassembly.
