Auxiliary Air Valve (Idle Speed): Service and Repair

REMOVAL:

1. Remove the Throttle Body from the intake plenum. Refer to THROTTLE BODY for proper procedure.
2. Turn the Throttle body upside down and remove the three screws that attach the Auxiliary Air Valve.

Removing Auxiliary Air Valve:

3. Remove the old gasket and O-ring.
4. Clean mating surface between the Air Valve and Throttle Body.

INSTALLATION:

1. Place a new gasket and O-ring in position on the Throttle Body.

Air Valve With Gasket And O-ring:

2. Install the Auxiliary Air Valve using the three screws.
3. Tighten the screws evenly to prevent warping the Air Valve. Ensure that the gasket and O-ring stays properly positioned.
4. Reinstall the Throttle Body on the intake plenum. Refer to THROTTLE BODY for proper procedure.
