CIRCUIT

INSPECTION OF ELECTRIC CONTROL COMPONENTS

Center Differential Control System)

1. INSPECT DIFFERENTIAL CONTROL SWITCH
a. Remove the differential control switch.
b. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance at each terminal.
If not, replace the switch.
c. Install the differential control switch.

2. INSPECT SPEED SENSOR.

3. INSPECT DIFFERENTIAL CONTROL SOLENOID
a. Disconnect the differential control solenoid connector.
b. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminal and body ground.

Resistance: 10 - 16 Ohms

c. Apply battery voltage between terminal and body ground. At this time, confirm that a solenoid operation sound in head.
If not, replace the solenoid.
d. Connect the differential control solenoid connector.

4. INSPECT OIL PRESSURE SWITCH
a. Remove the oil pressure switch.
b. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminal and switch body.

Resistance: infinity Ohms

c. While blowing low-compressed air (2 kg-cm, 28 psi or 196 kPa) into the switch, measure the resistance.

Resistance: 0 Ohms

If not replace the oil pressure switch.

d. Install the oil pressure switch.

5. INSPECT CENTER DIFFERENTIAL CONTROL COMPUTER CIRCUIT
a. Remove the center console box.
b. Turn on the ignition switch.
c. Measure the voltage at each terminals.

6. INSPECT OIL TEMPERATURE SWITCH
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminal and switch body.

Resistance:
Oil temperature
Below 130 °C (266 °F) infinity Ohms
Above 150 °C (302 °F) 0 Ohms

O/D Control System)

1. INSPECT O/D OFF INDICATOR LIGHT
a. Turn on the ignition switch.
b. The O/D OFF light will come on when the O/D main switch is placed at OFF.
c. When the O/D main switch is set to ON, the O/D OFF light should go out.

2. INSPECT O/D SOLENOID

a. Disconnect the solenoid connector.
b. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminal 1 and 2.

Resistance: 11 - 15 Ohms

c. Apply battery voltage between terminal 1 and 2. At this time, confirm that a solenoid operation sound is heard.
If not, replace the solenoid.

d. Connect the solenoid connector.

3. INSPECT O/D MAIN SWITCH
a. Remove the center console box.

b. Using an ohmmeter, check that the continuity of the terminals 1 and 3 for each switch position.
If not, replace the switch.
c. Install the center console box.
