Fluid - Transfer Case: Testing and Inspection

CHECK TRANSFER OIL LEVEL
- Park the vehicle on a level surface, set the parking brake.
- Pull out the transaxle dipstick and wipe it clean.
- Push it back fully into the tube.
- Pull it out and check the oil level as shown in the illustration.

Oil type: Transaxle oil E50 (08885-80206), API GL5, SAE75W-90 or equivalent.

NOTE: Do not overfill.

CHECK FLUID CONDITION
If the fluid smells burnt or black, replace it.
