Removal and Installation

REMOVAL OF COOLING UNIT





1. DISCONNECT NEGATIVE CABLE FROM BATTERY
2. DISCHARGE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
3. DISCONNECT EQUALIZER TUBE FROM EPR
4. DISCONNECT SUCTION TUBE FROM COOLING UNIT OUTLET FITTING
5. DISCONNECT LIQUID TUBE FROM COOLING UNIT INLET FITTING





HINT: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture out of the system.

6. REMOVE GROMMETS FROM INLET AND OUTLET FITTINGS
7. REMOVE GLOVE BOX AND UNDER COVER
8. DISCONNECT CONNECTORS
9. REMOVE COOLING UNIT
Remove four screws and two nuts.

INSTALLATION OF FRONT COOLING UNIT





1. INSTALL COOLING UNIT
Install the cooling unit with two nuts and four screws.
2. CONNECT CONNECTORS
3. INSTALL GLOVE BOX COMPARTMENT
4. INSTALL GROMMETS ON INLET AND OUTLET FITTING





5. CONNECT LIQUID TUBE TO COOLING UNIT INLET FITTING
Torque the nut.

Torque:130 kg-cm (10 ft-lb., 13 N.m)

6. CONNECT SUCTION TUBE TO COOLING UNIT OUTLET FITTING
Torque the nut.

Torque: 330 kg-cm (24 ft-lb, 32 N-m)

7. INSTALL COVER
8. IF EVAPORATOR WAS REPLACED, ADD COMPRESSOR OIL TO COMPRESSOR

ADD 40 - 50 cc (1.4 - 1.7 fl.oz.)

Compressor oil: DENSOOIL 6,
SUNISO No. 5GS or equivalent


9. CONNECT NEGATIVE CABLE TO BATTERY
10. EVACUATE AIR FROM AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
11. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT AND CHECK FOR GAS LEAKAGE

Specified amount: 750 - 850 g (1.7 - 1.9 lb)
