# 1 SPEED SENSOR REVISED
This TSB supersedes 92002, dated 2/7/92.

The Cressida (MX83E) Speed Sensor # 1 has been modified to reduce electrical noise.

^ Service parts (speedometer) for early production vehicles ('89 - '90 MY) have an improved designed reed switch (Speed Sensor # 1). The part number has been changed for easy identification.

^ Vehicles built after 7/91 (late '91 MY) received a production change to the # 1 Speed Sensor and Instrument Cluster Printed Circuit. These changes involved the following:
- Addition of a filter circuit on the Instrument Cluster Printed Circuit for the # 1 Speed Sensor.
- Reduction in operating voltage of the reed switch contained in the speedometer to reduce contact pitting.

^ 1991 model year vehicles built prior to the 7/91 production change can be retro-fitted with the above improvement. This requires replacement of both the # 1 Speed Sensor and the Instrument Cluster Printed Circuit.
