Hub, Bearing & Seal

1. Raise and support vehicle and remove front wheel.
2. Place matchmarks on brake rotor and axle hub and remove brake caliper and rotor.
3. Remove grease cap. If cap is damaged, replace it with a new one.
4. With a suitable gauge, check axial bearing play and axle hub runout against .002 inch limit.
5. On models equipped with ABS, remove wheel speed sensor.
6. On all models, use hammer and chisel to loosen and remove axle hub nut. On models with ABS, carefully handle rotor to prevent damage to rotor ABS sensor ring.
7. On all models, reverse procedure to install. Use a new axle hub nut and tighten to specification.
