Lower Control Arm

Fig. 2 Rear Axle Assembly:

1. Raise and support vehicle and remove rear wheel.
2. Remove strut rod from rear axle carrier, Fig. 2.
3. Place matchmarks on No. 1 suspension arm adjusting cam and body side mounting bracket, then remove adjusting cam.
4. Remove No. 1 lower suspension arm retaining nut at axle carrier.
5. Using tool No. 09628-10011, remove No. 1 lower suspension arm.
6. Disconnect stabilizer link from No. 2 lower suspension arm, place matchmarks on suspension arm adjusting cam and body side mounting bracket and remove No. 2 arm.
7. Using new No. 1 arm retaining nut, reverse procedure to install, tightening fasteners to specifications. Lower vehicle and bounce rear bumper to stabilize suspension.
