Axle Shaft: Service and Repair

Fig. 1 Rear Driveshaft:

1. Remove rear wheel, then cotter pin, locknut cap and locknut, Fig. 1.
2. For LH side driveshaft, disconnect and hang aside tailpipe.
3. Remove nuts securing axle shaft flange to differential.
4. Remove axle shaft from vehicle.
5. Reverse to install.
