REMOVAL

1. Remove axle carrier from vehicle.
2. Install a bolt and two nuts to axle carrier and secure in a vise.
3. Loosen nut to position illustrated, Fig. 3, then tap nut with with hammer to remove upper arm.
4. Remove dust deflector, then using oil seal remover tool No. 09308-00010 remove oil seal.
5. Remove the four backing plate set nuts.
6. Using puller, tool No. 09950-20017 remove axle hub.
7. Remove backing plate.
8. Using puller tool No. 09950-20017, remove the inner race from axle hub.
9. Using oil seal puller tool No. 09308-00010, remove oil seal.
10. Remove snap ring from bearing race, then temporarily install inner race to bearing.
11. Using remover tool No. 09608-35014, remove bearing.

INSTALLATION

1. Using installation tool No. 09316-60010 install bearing to axle carrier.
2. Install snap ring, then inner race.
3. Using installer, tool No. 09316-60010 install a new oil seal. Coat lip of seal with MP grease.
4. Install backing plate. Tighten to specifications.
5. Install inner race, then using special tool No. 09608-35014 install axle hub.
6. install inner oil seal using installer tool, No. 09223-41020. Coat lip of seal with MP grease.
7. Install dust deflector.
8. Install upper arm to axle carrier using a new nut. Tighten nut to specifications.
