Condenser Fan: Testing and Inspection

Testing Fan Motor:

INSPECT FAN MOTORS
1. Disconnect 2-P connector of the fan motor.

Testing Fan Motor:

2. Using the wiring harness, apply battery voltage to the connector.
3. Confirm smooth rotation of the motor within the specified current flow.
Current:...6.7 ± 0.7 A
3. If defective replace motor.

High Pressure Switch Location:

CHECK HIGH PRESSURE SWITCH
4. Disconnect the lead wire of the vehicle wire harness.
5. Using an ohmmeter, check the continuity between two terminals of the high pressure switch.
The ohmmeter must read zero ohms.
6. If there is no continuity, replace the switch.
