Fuel Pressure Pulsation Damper: Description and Operation
Removing Fuel Presure Pulsation Damper:
The Fuel Pressure Pulsation Damper, located on the fuel rail, smooths the pulses and air pockets from the fuel stream before they reach the injectors. This device reduces pressure fluctuations in the system and helps reduce fuel pump noise. The damper contains no serviceable parts and therefore must be replaced as a unit, if malfunction occurs.
