1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Disconnect stabilizer bar link from lower suspension arm, Fig. 4.
3. Remove lower ball joint locknut, then using suitable puller, disconnect ball joint from steering knuckle.
4. Remove shock absorber-to-lower suspension arm attaching nut and bolt, then disconnect shock absorber from arm.
5. Make reference marks between lower suspension arm alignment cams and their mounting surfaces, then remove nuts, alignment cams, bolts and suspension arm.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque lower suspension arm-to-ball joint attaching nuts and bolts to specification.
b. Install lower suspension arm. Do not tighten alignment cams at this time.
c. When installing ball joint to steering knuckle, install conventional nut first and torque to specification, then install locking nut and torque to specification.
d. Torque shock absorber lower mounting nut and bolt, stabilizer link attaching nut to specification.
e. Lower vehicle and allow the weight to rest on suspension. Bounce vehicle several times to settle suspension, then align marks made on cams. Torque adjusting cam nuts to specification with vehicle weight on suspension.
