Upper Control Arm

REMOVAL

Refer to Transmission and Drivetrain/Drive Axles, Bearings and Joints/Wheel Hub/Service and Repair for upper control arm replacement procedures.

INSPECTION

1. Flip ball joint stud back and forth five times, then install nut.
2. Using torque wrench, turn nut continuously one turn each 2-4 seconds and take torque reading on fifth turn.
3. If turning torque is not 9-30 inch lbs., replace upper control arm.
