Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair

FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE

- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
- Put a suitable container or shop towel under the fuel filter.

Union Bolt:

- Slowly loosen the union bolt at the fuel filter outlet.

- After fuel pressure is released, re-tighten union bolt.
Torque: 29 Nm (300 kgf.cm, 22 ft.lbs)

- Wipe off any splattered gasoline.
- Reconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
