Ignition Coil

1. Remove the distributor cap.

Primary Coil Testing:

2. Connect one end of an ohmmeter to the (-) side of the ignition coil. Connect the other end to the (+) side of the ignition coil.

Primary Resistance (Cold):
USA 1.3 - 1.5 ohms
CANADA 0.4 - 0.5 ohms

3. If primary coil resistance value is not within specifications, replace ignition coil.
