Fig. 72 Testing EBCV For Open Circuit:

1. Disconnect the electrical connector at the EBCV.
2. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between the positive (+) terminal of the EBCV and the metal housing. If there is any continuity, replace the EBCV.
3. Measure the resistance between the terminals on the EBCV. Fig. 72
4. The resistance should be 11 - 13 Ohms at 68°F ambient temperature.
5. If not as specified, replace the EBCV.
