Fig. 62 Checking CMH Element Resistance:

1. Unplug the wire connector to the CMH element, (located near the carburetor).
2. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance at the leads going to the heater element. Fig. 62
3. The resistance at 68° F should be 0.5 - 2.2 Ohms.
4. If not witin specifications, replace the CMH element.
5. Reconnect the CMH element wire connector.
