Fuel Heater Element

Fig. 63 Checking Fuel Heater Element Resistance:

1. Unplug the wire connector to the fuel heater element, (located near the carburetor).
2. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance of the fuel heater element. Fig. 63
3. The resistance at 68° F should be 2.0 - 6.0 Ohms.
4. If not within specifications, replace the fuel heater element.
5. Reconnect the fuel heater element wire connector.
