Early Fuel Evaporation ( EFE ): Testing and Inspection

1. Probe into CMH connector, (located near carburetor), white/red wire with the positive lead of a voltmeter. Fig. 60
2. Start the engine and observe the voltmeter. (Coolant temperature should be below 118° F to perform this test).
3. The voltmeter should indicate approximately 12 volts.
4. Warm the engine to above 140° F and observe the voltmeter.
5. The voltmeter should indicate zero volts.
6. If not as specified, test system components.
