1. Remove the OVCV from the vehicle.
2. Connect battery current source to the electrical terminals. Fig. 10
3. Blow into the pipe and check that NO air passes through the valve, (OVCV closed).
4. Leave battery leads connected for at least 5 minutes in order to preheat the heater coil inside the OVCV to over 140°F.
5. Disconnect the battery leads and check that the OVCV is above 140°F housing temperature. Fig. 11
6. Blow into pipe and check that the OVCV is open and air passes through.
7. Allow the OVCV to cool to below 115°F and check the air flow.
8. Air should NOT pass through the valve, (OVCV closed).
9. If not as specified, replace the OVCV.
10. Reinstall the OVCV on the vehicle.
