Control Arm: Service and Repair

Fig. 2 Front Suspension Components:

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove bolt and 2 nuts to disconnect lower control arm from steering knuckle, Fig. 2.
3. Remove nut at stabilizer link and disconnect stabilizer bar from lower control arm.
4. Remove front and rear bracket bolts and remove lower control arm.
5. Reverse procedure to install, torque ball joint nuts and bolts and stabilizer bar to lower control arm specifications. Lower vehicle and allow the weight to rest on suspension. Bounce vehicle several times to settle suspension, then torque front bracket bolt and rear bracket bolts specifications.
