CENTER REGISTER DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE

The center register removal procedure has been revised in order to prevent rattles, broken clips, and/or damage. Please follow the procedure below when removing the center register assembly.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2000 - 2004 model year Avalon vehicles.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Insert plastic pry tool into location shown.

NOTE:
Plastic Pry Tool must be used when removing the center register.

2. Pull straight out from the register assembly (take care not to pry in any direction other than straight outward, keep tool flat against register).

NOTE:
- DO NOT PRY.
- A significant amount of force is required to disengage register assembly.
- Pulling from top--center will allow bottom clips to release also.
- DO NOT pull/pry from any other area of register.
- Tool does NOT need to engage clip for release.
Engagement with clip will only create more resistance for release.
