Introduction

In some cases, the customer may feel slight vibration in the brake pedal during initial pedal stroke. The vehicle does not have to be in motion to feel the vibration. A new brake master cylinder service part was developed to address this slight vibration concern.

Applicable Vehicles

2002 - 2004 model year Camry vehicles with 4-cylinder engines and without ABS.

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Replace the master cylinder according to the procedures in the Technical Information System (TIS), 2002 - 2004 model year Camry Repair Manual: Brake: Brake Master Cylinder: Overhaul.
