INTRODUCTION:
Some 2004 - 2005 model year Camry vehicles equipped with the 2AZ-FE engine may experience a M.I.L. "ON" condition with DTC P2103, P2111, and/or P2112. The throttle body hose has been modified to improve this condition.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2004 - 2005 model year Camry vehicles equipped with 2AZ-FE engine produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Check for DTCs P2103, P2111, and/or P2112 using the Toyota Diagnostic Tester. Refer to ETAS, 2004 or 2005 Camry Repair Manual: Diagnostics: SFI System (2AZ-FE) (From July, 2003).
2. If DTCs P2103, P2111, and/or P2112 are present, follow diagnostic instructions on ETAS for appropriate DTC in Diagnostics: SFI System (2AZ-FE) (From July, 2003).
3. If diagnostic procedures referenced above do not reveal the root cause, remove the air cleaner hose and verify that the throttle plate will not open.
4. Drain engine coolant. Refer to ETAS, 2004 or 2005 Camry Repair Manual: Cooling: Coolant 2AZ-FE) (From July, 2003): Replacement.
5. Remove air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose.
6. Remove throttle body assembly.
A. Disconnect the throttle control motor and throttle position sensor connector.
B. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the throttle body.
C. Disconnect the 2 water bypass hoses.
D. Disconnect the throttle body hose.
E. Remove the 4 bolts, fuel pipe support and throttle body.
F. Remove the gasket.
7. Replace the throttle body hose and clip.
8. Install new throttle body assembly.
A. Install a new gasket on the intake manifold, as shown.
B. Install the new throttle body and fuel pipe support with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 30 N-m (305 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)
C. Connect the 2 water bypass hoses to the throttle body.
D. Connect the throttle body hose.
E. Connect the throttle control motor and throttle position sensor connector.
F. Connect the vacuum hose to the throttle body.
9. Install air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose.
10. Add engine coolant. Refer to ETAS, 2004 or 2005 Camry Repair Manual: Cooling: Coolant (2AZ-FE) (From July, 2003): Replacement.
11. Check for engine coolant leaks. Refer to ETAS, 2004 or 2005 Camry Repair Manual: Cooling: Cooling System (2AZ-FE) (From July, 2003): On-Vehicle Inspection.
12. Clear DTCs as referenced in diagnostic instructions of repair step 2 of this bulletin.
13. Test drive vehicle and verify normal operation of vehicle.
