Headlamp Alignment Control Module: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION







1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL SWITCH CURRENT

NOTE: If a resister is not placed, switch may be damaged.

Measure the voltage between terminal 4 or 5.
If current value is not as specified, replace the switch.




2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL SWITCH ILLUMINATION
Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 3 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 6, and check that the illumination light comes on.
If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.







3. INSPECT HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL ACTUATOR OPERATION

NOTE: If a resister is not placed, switch may be damaged.

Disconnect the connector and inspect the connector on the wire harness as shown in the chart.
If current value is not as specified, replace the actuator.
