Overhaul

DISASSEMBLY

1. w/ Rear wiper:
REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM




a. Remove the rear wiper head cap.




b. Remove the nut and rear wiper arm.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.
Operate the wiper motor once and turn the wiper switch OFF before installing the wiper arm. Then install the wiper arm and tighten the nut by hand to adjust the wiper arm to the position as shown in the illustration.

A: Approx. 53.8 mm (2.118 in.)

c. Remove the grommet.

2. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL
3. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD




a. Using a clip remover, pull out the 8 clips.
b. Remove the back door trim board.

4. w/ Rear wiper:
REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR




a. Remove the 2 bolts and loosen the bolt indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

b. Disconnect the connector, then remove the rear wiper motor.

5. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR




a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 bolts, then remove the back door lock actuator from the back door panel.

Torque: 7.0 N.m (75 kgf.cm, 61 in.lbf)




6. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK
Remove the 3 bolts, then remove the back door lock.

Torque: 7.0 N.m (75 kgf.cm, 61 in.lbf)

7. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK CYLINDER
a. Remove the bolt and back door lock cylinder.




b. Remove the outside back door handle from the outside.

HINT: At the time of reassembly, turn the back door lock cylinder to the right end as shown in the illustration.




8. REMOVE PULL HANDLE
Using a screwdriver, remove the pull handle.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

9. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT
a. Pull down the center stop light cover to remove it.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the connector.
c. Remove the center stop light.

REASSEMBLY
The reassembly procedures are the disassembly procedures in reverse order.
